Four employees from Macclesfield-based Plastic Card Services (PCS) have raised an impressive £1,800 on a 24 hour, 54-mile charity walk across the Peak District.

Rob Nicholls, Adam Unsworth, Chris Dunn and Shaun Hinchy all took part in Trekfest, managing to beat their fundraising target of £1,200. The team will split the £1,800 between their four chosen charities: Barnardo’s, Edale Mountain Rescue, East Cheshire Hospice and Sands (a stillbirth and neonatal death charity).

Following the walk, Adam Unsworth, sales director at PCS commented: “We’ve been training for Trekfest for months – even wearing our boots around the office – but it was definitely still a gruelling challenge. The donations that we’ve received should really help our chosen charities, and it’s great to be able to give something back.”
